Stratford-upon-Avon lies to the north east of Blockley and is of course famous for its association with Shakespeare and Hathaway along with its scenic location alongside the River Avon.

Blenhiem Palace at Woodstock (near Oxford) and Warwick castle can be found  due east of Blockley.

The picture postcard setting of Bourton-on-the-Water and the Roman/Regency town of Bath with its Roman baths, Regency Pump Room and past association with Jane Austin are within an hour's drive, south of Blockley.
